LG has announced its first OLED monitor: the UltraFine OLED Pro 31.5 “. The screen has a 16:9 ratio and 4k resolution of 3840×2160 pixels. LG is targeting the professional market for image and video editing.

According to LG, the OLED monitor can display 99 percent of the DCI-P3 and AdobeRGB color spaces. Details about the maximum brightness has not yet been given by the manufacturer. Judging by a promotional video from LG, the UltraFine OLED PRO 32EP950 monitor has a thin panel and features a USB-C connector with Power Delivery up to 90W. The screen has two DisplayPort connections, an HDMI port and three USB-A ports.

LG has only put a movie online about its first OLED monitor and has not yet given any further details. The price is also not yet known. The screen will probably get a high price. Given the target group of professional image editors that the manufacturer is aiming for, it may be several thousand euros.

The Korean manufacturer has not yet released OLED monitors. LG did present its 48″ OLED TV from last year as a screen that can be used for PC games, among other things. LG Display has announced that 42″ OLED panels will also be introduced, but when they are used in TVs or monitors, is not yet clear.
