Instagram has added a feature to create stickers from your own photos and videos. The company announced this. New filters have also been added for the first time in years.

The feature to create stickers from your own photos and videos works with Meta’s own Segment Anything AI model, says Instagram. The idea is to take photos or stills of people or animals, for example, and cut away the background to create a sticker for use in Reels or Stories, for example.

In addition, Instagram is adding about 25 new filters. The social media platform made it big with filters, but hasn’t added any new ones in years. For Reels there will also be new fonts for texts and new voices in English to convert text into speech.
