Huawei announces Watch GT 4 in two versions

Huawei announces the fourth generation of Watch GT. The smartwatch is available in a 41mm and a 46mm variant. The larger watch has an octagonal finish, while the smaller version has a round case.

The 46mm version of the Watch GT 4, like its predecessor, is equipped with a 1.43″ AMOLED screen with a resolution of 466×466 pixels. This brings the number of pixels per inch to 326. The 41mm version is a 1.32″ display with the same resolution. The ppi here is 352. The watch case is made of stainless steel, just like the Watch GT 3.

The Watch GT 4 will have a new Stay Fit app that, among other things, keeps track of the user’s calorie consumption. The GT 4 also has a new heart rate monitor and sleep tracker. The smartwatch also measures the oxygen saturation of the blood and the stress level of the user. In addition, the smartwatch can map information about the user’s menstrual cycle. Furthermore, routing has reportedly been improved.

According to Huawei the battery of the 46mm version of the Watch GT 4 lasts eight to fourteen days, depending on the frequency of use. If the always-on function is active, the watch lasts up to four days. The 41mm version of the smartwatch has a battery life of four to seven days. The smaller version of the Huawei Watch GT 4 is available in white, silver and gold color options. The 46mm variant consists of black, brown, gray and green. The GT 4 has a recommended retail price from 250 euros. The 41mm watches will ship from September 29 and the 46mm versions from October 9. The smartwatches work with both Android and iOS smartphones.
