HP has announced the arrival of a new Chromebook, the HP Chromebook 11 G5. The fifth 11-inch chromebook from HP will be available with a touchscreen, can run Android apps and according to the specifications can last 12.5 hours on a single battery charge.
Exactly when the latest addition to HP’s Chromebook 11 boom will be available is not yet known, except that after shipping to partners from July, consumers will be able to get their hands on it from October. The cheapest version of the laptop has a suggested retail price of $189. HP supplies an 11.6″ screen with an undisclosed resolution for this, but it is probably a resolution of 1366×768 pixels, identical to that of the previous HP Chromebook 11 G4. There will also be an option for an HD-IPS screen. screen with touchscreen functionality and Gorilla Glass.
The laptop weighs over a kilo, measures 29.72×20.50×1.83 centimeters and comes with a 1.6GHz Intel Celeron N3060 that is fired at 14nm and has a TDP of 6W. The G5 carries 4GB of internal memory and 16 or 32GB of storage memory can be chosen. One of the USB ports will be a USB 3.0 port.
