Honor announces laptop and television

Huawei subsidiary Honor has announced a laptop, tablet, router, television, wireless earbuds and a handful of smarthome devices. The notebook has a 16.1″ display with thin bezels, an Nvidia Geforce MX350 and a tenth-generation Intel Core i7 CPU.

The CPU in the MagicBook pro is an Intel Core i7-10510U and it has four cores and a speed of up to 4.9GHz. It also has 16GB DDR4 RAM and a 512GB SSD. Furthermore, Honor states that the display can display 100 percent of the srgb color space. There is also a model with an undisclosed i5 processor, which also has the same specs. The images of the presentation do suggest that this model has thicker bezels around the screen, but this is not explicitly mentioned.

The images also show that the laptop has a pop-up webcam in the keyboard and it seems that there is also NFC functionality. Converted from Chinese Yuan, the i5 model costs 770 euros and the i7 model 860 euros. There is currently no euro price and release date for the Benelux.

The Honor tablet is called the ViewPad 6. The tablet with 10.4 “display has a resolution of 2048 by 1080 pixels, has a brightness of 470 nits and according to honor thin bezels. It has a Kirin 985-soc, speakers on both sides , support for Wi-Fi 6 via 802.11ax and 5g. The amount of working and storage memory is not mentioned. The tablet should be available in ‘overseas markets’ from June, but a price is not yet mentioned, not even for China. price will be announced on June 13.

The Honor Router 3 is introduced with an emphasis on ‘Wi-Fi 6+’ support. This should be able to achieve speeds of up to 2400Mbps on 5GHz, but only when used in conjunction with other compatible Honor devices. Further technical information about this 802.11ax WiFi is not provided. Under the hood is a GigaHome 650 and a Kirin W650 chipset. The router costs 28 euros, but there is no European price yet. The device should come to “overseas markets” in July.

Honor’s televisions are in the so-called X1 series. These have a 4k display with 92% of the dci-p3 color space and HDR capability. The sound is provided by four 10-watt speakers and the built-in Honghu 818 chipset can show 8k images, according to Honor. The series consists of a 65″, 55″ and 50″ model. These costs converted to EUR 425 and 296 respectively. The price of the 50″ model has not yet been announced.

According to the manufacturer, the Honor Earbuds X1 have a battery life of 24 hours, presumably with a supplied box, and a price tag of 22 euros is attached to it. Furthermore, during an announcement on Tuesday afternoon, Honor presented a vacuum cleaner, a fan that can also heat the air, a humidifier, an electric toothbrush and a phone holder for the car.
