Gigabyte confirms the suggested retail price of its Aorus 10000 Gen5 2TB SSD against the German Computerbase. With a price of 399 euros, the drive would cost about 20 cents per gigabyte and be about 20 percent more expensive than the current Aorus Gen4 7000s with PCIe 4.0 interface. According to Computerbase, the SSD would already be in stock, although Gigabyte did not specify an exact delivery date.

The Gigabyte Aorus Gen5 10000 was previously announced. It is the company’s first PCIe 5.0 SSD, which, according to the manufacturer, should achieve sequential read and write speeds of 10.0 and 9.5 GB/s, respectively. The company does not share arbitrary throughput rates. The company does confirm that the SSD has TLC nand and 4GB of Lpddr4 cache. The SSD is optionally supplied with a large heatsink.

The SSD will be available in variants with 1TB and 2TB storage. Gigabyte previously did not communicate a release date and recommended prices for the SSDs. The ssd recently appeared at an American retailer for $ 340, which converted and with VAT amounted to about 388 euros. It is not yet known what the 1TB variant will cost.
