Free repair for iPhone 12 (Pro) with sound problems
Do you have an iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 Pro? And do you sometimes hear no sound while calling? Then your iPhone may be eligible for a free repair by Apple. A service program has been in place since this weekend.
iPhone 12 (Pro) sound drops out during calls
A very small number of iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro models have been found to have audio issues. It has to do with a component on the receiver module that could fail. The problem only occurs on the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro, not the 12 mini or the Pro Max.
It specifically concerns devices manufactured between October 2020 and April 2021. Usually Apple works with serial numbers to check if your iPhone qualifies for the free service program, but now you can just report if the sound from your phone goes off. know when you call (or receive a call).

If your iPhone 12 (Pro) has damage that makes repair to the speaker difficult, you need to fix that first. For example, if the screen is cracked. And of course you have to pay for that. The free repair is offered up to two years after the purchase of the device.
