Firmware update: Xtreamer 2.1.1

Spread the love

Xtreamer has released an update for last week’s version 2.1 of the firmware for its media player of the same name. The Xtreamer is intended for playing and streaming media files from the optional built-in hard drive, a device on the internal network – wired or wireless – or from the Internet. There is a topic on our own GoT where more information about this budget media player can be found.

New in version 2.1 includes the ability to add favorite content directly to the Home menu and the Xtreamer now automatically scans shared network folders. Furthermore, improvements have been made to the photo and movie preview and the necessary bugs have been fixed. Unfortunately, there were also a few errors, which is why version 2.1.1 has now been released. The changelog for this looks like this:

Bug fixed:

  • When pass-through option is selected, Mp3 playback with optical output doesn’t work. Fixed.
  • Black screen appears on some TVs in HDMI 1080P output mode. Fixed.
  • Hebrew MKV embedded subtitles are not shown in order. Fixed.
    • Select Hebrew in “Subtitle/ID3tag”
  • NAS mode cannot be started from Web UI. Fixed.
  • Can’t see folder for Music/Photos/Movies tabs from Favorites menu. Fixed.
  • Zoom Settings are not saved correctly. Fixed.
  • “Add to Favorites” removed from “FUNC” menu for “Media Library->Net”.
  • “Add to Favorites” removed from “FUNC” menu for “Media Library->Network Shares”.
    • Folders can be added to favorites
  • In “Favorites” menu thumbnail don’t work in “Photo” tab. Fixed.
