Download Firmware Olympus XZ-1 1.3

Olympus has released new firmware for its XZ-1– digital compact cameras. These cameras have a 1/1.63″ CCD image sensor with 10 megapixels and the built-in lens has a range of 28 to 122mm, bringing the optical zoom to 4x. The version number is fixed at 1.3 and the corresponding list of changes looks like this:

Version 1.3:

• Improved algorithm for ESP spot metering.

Version 1.2:

• Pic Orientation has been added to the Camera Menu.
  (Note)
  The orientation detection device may not operate as intended in some shooting conditions. This function can be turned off or on. In playback, the orientation of an image can be rotated by using the control ring. The desired orientation is then saved in the Exif file.
  [ Caution ]
  The cameras settings are cleared when firmware version 1.1 or earlier is updated.
