European Investment Bank hit by cyber attack by pro-Russian hackers

The European Investment Bank is currently the victim of a cyber attack. The website of the European bank is therefore not accessible. The attack was previously announced by pro-Russian hacker groups Anonymous Sudan and Killnet.

The EIB acknowledges on Twitter that the websites eib.org and eif.org are currently unreachable due to the cyber attack. Although the investment bank does not provide any further details, it is probably a DDoS attack. These types of cyber attacks are more often used by pro-Russian hacktivists. The target is the European Investment Bank, a body of the European Union that finances European development projects.
