Elon Musk, the chief executive of SpaceX and Tesla, has said on Twitter that Mark Zuckerberg’s understanding of the subject of artificial intelligence is limited. The founder of Facebook dismissed Musk’s previous negative thoughts about AI as incomprehensible.

Zuckerberg has answered questions about the future of artificial intelligence on Facebook. In it he indicated that he should have little to do with pessimistic visions about the development of AI in the future, directly referring to the vision of Elon Musk. Zuckerberg says he has an optimistic view, and doesn’t understand the people who paint ominous scenarios about AI.

Musk has previously warned about the consequences of an unbridled development of artificial intelligence. He called it a fundamental risk to society and therefore wants national governments to regulate AI. Musk believes people should be concerned about the most advanced forms of artificial intelligence. He says he will continue to warn about the dangers because he thinks people won’t know what to think until they see robots killing people in the streets.

Zuckerberg argues that AI can actually save lives in many ways. In addition, he points to life-saving technologies in the medical sector that can diagnose diseases and AI that can significantly reduce the number of road casualties via self-driving cars. Zuckerberg recognizes that technology can be used for both good and evil, so caution is advised. But he says there is no reason to argue for slowing the development of artificial intelligence.

The chief executive of SpaceX and Tesla recently responded to Zuckerberg’s vision. In a tweet said he said he’s talked to Zuckerberg on the subject, but that Zuckerberg’s understanding of AI is limited. In a response to someone who indicated that Musk must come up with convincing arguments to convince people of his pessimistic view, Musk announced that he would soon come up with a film about the dangers of AI.
