Driver Update: Nvidia Linux Display Driver 195.36.24

Nvidia released new *nix display drivers with version number 195.36.24 a few days ago. They are available for Linux (32 bit), Linux (AMD64/EM64T), Solaris (x64/x86) and FreeBSD. Specific installation instructions can be found on the individual pages. This release includes support for some new cards and officially adds support for Xserver version 1.8. Release Highlights

  • Added support for the following GPUs:
      GeForce GTX 480
      GeForce GTX 470
      Tesla C2050
  • Fixed a problem that caused occasional red flashes in XVideo frames.
  • Added official support for xserver 1.8. The -ignoreABI option is no longer required with this version of the server.
  • Updated the “Supported NVIDIA GPU Products” list to include various supported GPUs that were missing previously.
