Development studio behind Flower and Journey working on new game

Thatgamecompany, the studio that made flOw, Flower and Journey, is working on a new game. According to the developers, the new game will be released on multiple platforms and the game is about ‘giving’.

Thatgamecompany has set up a Twitter account called thatnextgame, which shows an image of two candles lighting each other. The caption states that it will be a game about giving. An image on the makers’ website shows a hand and two gears.

The studio will release the game itself. For previous games, the developers worked with Sony. Self-publishing allows the studio to decide for itself on which platforms and in which ways the game can be released. The studio also remains financially and creatively completely independent in this way, the makers say on their website. Thatgamecompany has already received money from investors to make the game.
