Developer behind This War of Mine is working on space survival game The Alters

This War of Mine creator 11 Bit Studios announces The Alters. In this survival game, players must survive on an unknown planet along with a bunch of clones. The game is coming out for PC. The release date is not yet known.

The Alters follows character Jan Dolski, who, after crash-landing on a lonely planet, creates alternate versions of himself in order to survive and find a way back home. Those versions, the alters, all have their own personalities and abilities based on the different life paths Dolski has gone through.

The developer says The Alters is focused on making small decisions that have the potential to affect a lifetime. “The Alters raises a simple question about life-changing moments and the decisions people make: What if…?” writes the developer. It will be a sci-fi survival game with elements of psychological horror and drama, says the developer in an interview with PC Gamer†

The Alters is being developed by 11 Bit Studios, the developer behind narrative war game This War of Mine and survival strategy game Frostpunk. The game will be available for PCs via Steam, the Epic Games Store and GOG.
