DayZ may enter beta this year and get Steam Workshop support
DayZ, the open world zombie survival game from Dean ‘Rocket’ Hall and Bohemia Interactive, may enter beta this year, will receive Steam Workshop support for mods modders will soon be able to test their creations extensively in a single player mode.
All this was announced by Brian Hicks, one of the developers of DayZ, during the E3 PC Gaming Show in Los Angeles. DayZ is currently still in alpha phase on Steam Early Access.
In addition to the new features, 3 new vehicles will be introduced and players will soon receive the tools to run their own DayZ servers. DayZ started out as a mod for ArmA 2, Bohemia Interactive’s military simulator. Dean Hall, the original creator of DayZ, is now working on other games.
