The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Ulefone has presented the Power 2. The 5.5″ device is about 1cm thick and weighs 210 grams. According to the manufacturer, the 6050mA battery is good for four days of use, or two days if you are a ‘phone freak’.

The device uses a MediaTek MT6750T soc. That is an octacore with a speed of 1.5GHz. There is 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, which can be expanded with a micro-SD card. The 5.5″ screen has a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels.

Although Ulefone talks about a 16-megapixel camera in its marketing material, the Power 2 has a 13-megapixel sensor. The photos are software interpolated to the higher resolution. The lens has an aperture of f/2.2. On the front is an 8-megapixel camera and with interpolation it shoots 13-megapixel photos.

The Power 2 supports fast charging with the ‘Pump Express 2.0’ standard. This means that the 6050mAh battery is full in two to three hours, says Ulefone. Half an hour of charging should be enough to get through the day. There is a fingerprint scanner on the front of the device. The software is made based on Android 7.0.

Ulefone markets the Power 2 in black, gray and gold. A price has not yet been announced. The device is the successor of the Ulefone Power, which had a battery with the same capacity, but that device had a slower soc, 3GB ram and 16GB storage space.

The Chinese manufacturer distributes its phones in Europe, for example in Germany and Spain. The device also supports all 4g frequencies that are used in the Benelux.
