The Chinese company Jiaxing Yongrui Electron makes the budget smartphone Galaxy A10s for Samsung. It is the first time that a Samsung smartphone made by another company will be released outside of China.

The Chinese BlogOfMobile discovered in the inspection of the American government agency FCC that Samsung did not make the Galaxy A10s itself. The smartphone announced this week will be released in many countries, such as the Middle East. It is unknown whether a release in Europe will follow.

Samsung uses other companies to produce cheap smartphones to cut costs and presumably to offer phones at lower prices. This already happened with last year’s Galaxy A6s, but it only appeared in China.

The A10s has an LCD with a surface area of 96 square centimeters and a diagonal of 6.2 “, with a resolution of 1520×720 pixels. The phone runs on a MediaTek Helio P22-soc, with eight Cortex A53 cores at up to 2GHz. The battery has a capacity of 4000mAh.It is unknown whether the Galaxy A10s will also appear on the market in the Benelux.
