Bohemia Interactive denies that it is in the process of developing ArmA 4. The developer indicates that it is still too early to work on a sequel. However, Bohemia is in talks with several parties about developing new extensions for ArmA 3.

In an e-mail to PC Gamer, PR manager Korneel van ‘t Land reports that there is no such new ArmA game. “It is even too early for us to say in what form we want to continue with the ArmA series. We can already say that we cannot announce a new iteration for the series in the coming years,” writes Van ‘t Land .

A journalist from the Slovakian game news website CentrumHer had incorrectly reported on Twitter that Bohemia Interactive is working on a sequel to ArmA 3. The tweet has since been deleted. The PR manager says the developer wants to wait for the Enfusion engine to be ready first. Enfusion is being developed by Bohemia itself and it aims to base future games on this engine.

“We need time to exceed the demands we have made with ArmA 3 and adapt to future demands. At the moment we do have concrete plans for good support for ArmA 3, through new content and hopefully third party DLC for the coming year and the years to come.”
