Bloober Team shows 11 minutes of gameplay from horror game Layers of Fear

Developer Bloober Team has revealed new gameplay footage from the upcoming remake of the psychedelic horror game Layers of Fear. The game uses Unreal Engine 5 and The Writer is added as a playable character.

Layers of Fear is made in collaboration with Anshar Studios. It is a remake of the 2016 game of the same name, and contains the content from the Inheritance DLC and Layers of Fear 2. In addition to recurring events, new elements are added, including a new chapter called ‘The Final Note’.

The developers seem to have moved away from the name Layers of Fears – with an added ‘s’ at the end. In previous reports and trailer the name was shown with an extra letter. Since the release month reveal the extra letter is missing in the communication. Layers of Fear will be released in June 2023 for the PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
