Acer comes with a new product line of reinforced laptops and tablets and thus competes with Panasonic’s ToughBook series. The devices are, for example, intended for use on construction sites. Two laptops and three tablets appear.

The Acer Enduro N7 is the largest and most fortified laptop in the new series and has an IP65 certificate for sealing against dust and moisture. This model has a 14″ screen with a full HD resolution and a maximum brightness of 700cd/m2. The device contains a hot-swappable battery and an Intel Core i5 quad-core of the eighth generation. The laptop has a rpm module and Acer comes with software that should further help with the management and security of the laptops, which the manufacturer calls the Acer Enduro Manageability Suite. Acer does not yet give details about the dimensions, weight and price.

Acer also makes a thinner and lighter model; the Enduro N3. It weighs 2 kg and is 25 mm thick, but with its IP53 certificate it is less well sealed against dust and moisture. The Enduro N3 also has to make do with one battery. The screen is protected with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass. The laptop contains a maximum of a tenth generation Intel Core i7 processor and up to 32GB DDR4 memory. An MX230 GPU is optional and the storage consists of a 1TB NVME SSD. Acer will release the Enduro N3 in June for a price starting at 999 euros.

Acer completes the Enduro line with three tablets in the T1 and T5 series. The T5 is a 10″ reinforced Windows 10 tablet with a hot-swappable battery. The tablet has an IP65 rating and Acer releases accessories such as handles, shoulder straps and docking stations. The T1 is available as a 10″ variant with Windows or as an 8″ version with Android. These tablets can be operated with gloves on. A keyboard cover will be released for the Windows version. When the Enduro tablets will be available for sale and what they will cost has not yet been announced.
