Accessory adds dual SIM capability to iPhone 4

Accessory store Usbfever has released a dual SIM adapter for the iPhone 4. The accessory allows the user to use two SIM cards, instead of a micro SIM card. You can switch via the settings menu.

Users cannot use both sim cards at the same time, but it is possible to switch between both sims: according to Usbfever serve users simply select the desired SIM card in the settings, then iPhone 4 takes one to two minutes to detect the SIM.

By using the adapter, iPhone 4 owners don’t have to cut their SIM card to size; the iPhone 4 normally only accepts micro-SIMs that are smaller than the normal version. However, the accessory ensures that the SIM cards used are hanging outside the device; Usbfever therefore supplies a case with the adapter, in which the iPhone 4 and accessory both fit.

Few phones have dual SIM functionality; most manufacturers release their phones with a single SIM card slot, although Nokia has indicated that they will release phones with two SIM card slots. Accessories that offer dual SIM are also relatively rare.
