Under the name Axon Phone, ZTE makes an Android device with a working memory of 4GB and a double camera lens. This is apparent from the information that the manufacturer has already put online before the announcement.

It is the first time that ZTE makes such a device. The Asus Zenfone 2 and Xiaomi Mi Note Pro, among others, also have a working memory of 4GB, but that memory size is not yet common. ZTE remains vague on the smartphone site about the rest of the details, including the resolution of the dual camera lens, the processor used and the capacity of the battery.

Although the Axon Phone features an interface that appears to be a derivative of ZTE’s Nubia interface, it is not the same interface as that running on recent Nubias. The home screen resembles that of stock Android, in other places in Android ZTE has given the Axon a completely different appearance.

The announcement of all details of the device will follow on July 14. It is unknown if the Axon Phone will also come to Europe. Only American media has so far received an invitation to the announcement next month, which indicates that the device will initially be released there.

Although ZTE is not mentioned on Axon’s site, the telephone-related brand Axon is owned by ZTE in the United States, while Axon and ZTE are also registered at the same address in the US state of Texas.
