From 25 November, Telenet will increase the price of its Play subscription from 10 euros to 11.95 euros per month. The provider now also offers HBO series, which were previously only available with a more expensive Play More subscription.

Ten popular HBO series can be viewed immediately via the Telenet Play subscription. These include Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead and Westworld. Five more series will be added in the coming weeks. The addition of the series is possible through a new deal that Telenet has made with HBO. All series that the production house has made itself, such as Band of Brothers, The Sopranos, True Blood, The Wire and Rome will be added.

According to Telenet, the content of the Play package has been adjusted due to the changing viewing behavior of Flemish people. They watch more and more series. Last year, for the first time, subscribers spent more time on series than on movies. On average, customers watched 15 episodes a month, which was 23 percent more than a year earlier. Play subscribers watched an average of nine movies per month.

In addition to the HBO series, the Play subscription includes older films, Flemish series and programs for children. Telenet will also continue to offer its Play More subscription. This costs 24.95 euros per month and, in addition to series, also offers eight linear thematic channels, six Play More film channels and a wider range of recent films.
