Square Enix will release an update to the Marvel’s Avengers game on November 30 that will allow PlayStation players to play through a separate Spider-Man storyline. The publisher also takes care of some elements of the game in patch 2.2.
The introduction of Spider-Man in Marvel’s Avengers will be accompanied by the Spider-Man: With Great Power Hero event, according to the developer. In it, Spider-Man must try to thwart the plans of the fictional criminal organization AIM. The superhero will also have to team up with the Avengers team members to save the world and Spider-Man’s previously individual journey will be an important element in the new storyline that focuses more on teamwork. The Spider-Man expansion is only available to PlayStation players.
Square Enix is also making some changes to the game. For example, the highest achievable Power Level is increased from 150 to 175 and it becomes possible to recycle an equipment with a higher power to upgrade another equipment so that it also has a higher power.
