Sony has posted a teaser showing an as yet unknown tablet. Unlike previous tablets, this model does not seem to have a 10 “screen. Details of the hardware that have not yet been announced are unknown for the time being.
Given the hand next to the tablet and the placement of the onscreen buttons, it appears to be a tablet with a screen around 8″, with a screen ratio of approximately 4:3. This would make it a tablet that has to compete with Apple’s iPad mini and Samsung’s 8″ Galaxy Tabs.
Sony posted the image on its Facebook page. That happened a week and a half before Sony announced new products in a presentation ahead of the IFA electronics fair in Berlin, which takes place next week. There have been rumors in recent months about, among other things, an Xperia Z3.
Update 9:51: The article originally contained a paragraph about a phone in the image, but as tweaker TERRiON says, it is an Xperia M2 Dual.
