Wine is an open source implementation of the Windows API. This makes it possible to run DOS and Windows programs on Linux, FreeBSD and Mac OS X, among others. A new development build is released every Friday every other week. Wine is contributed by a large group of developers, which is why it has been decided to release a new build every two weeks, instead of waiting for some new features to be ready. stable release available and at this moment the first release candidate has appeared. What’s new in this release:

• Support for Arabic font shaping and joining.
