Software Update: Waterfox G:3.2.4

Spread the love

Version G:3.2.4 of the third generation of Waterfox has been released. Waterfox is a web browser based on the source code of Firefox. The project was started in 2011 by the then sixteen-year-old Alex Kontos and was one of the first 64-bit browsers on the market. There are two versions of the browser available. Waterfox G3 is based on Firefox ESR78 with various optimizations, has no plug-in whitelist and does not send telemetry to Mozilla or Waterfox. The changelog since version G:3.2.2 looks like this:

  • Ecosia is now selectable as a search option.

  • You should now be able to install Chrome and Opera extensions without issues once more.
  • Resolved an issue where Abyss or Floe would not be set upon restart of the browser.
  • Resolved an issue where language packs were not available on Windows.
  • Resolved an issue where Yahoo! was being set as default search unprompted.

  • Latest Mozilla Foundation Security Advisories patched.
  • Refactored various features to be more performant.
