Spread the love

Sabayon Linux, named after the Italian zabaglionedessert, is a very comprehensive Linux distribution that descends from Gentoo Linux. The installation uses compiled packages, but it is also possible to run Gentoo’s Portage to install packages. Sabayon Linux is equipped with recent versions of KDE, Gnome, Firefox, Openoffice and Beryl, among others, but non-open source programs are also present, such as ATI Radeon and nVidia Geforce drivers and a demo of Quake 4. Due to the huge collection of applications that are included, the downloads that can be downloaded are a thick 3.9 GB and a full installation requires at least 8 GB of disk space.
