Download Reaper 0.89
Reaper is a program for the Windows platform that allows audio recording and editing in a multi-track waveform. For an overview of all possibilities, we refer you to this page and for a number of compiled examples you can go to this page justly. The developers have been busy with development for the past few days and have already released a new version with 0.89 as the version number. The list of changes looks like this:
Version 0.89:
- big internal audio rendering architecture changes
- SMP support (runs FX in worker threads when possible)
- this may make this release less stable overall than .87, but fear not, we will get it back to par, and then some!
- removed noteoff on stop for VSTi
- DXi tempo map support
- fixed flushing in some DX effects (Sonitus FX Gate for example)
- added exception check during DX effect initialization (Guitar Rig 2)
- safer dx plugins scan
- mixer has more showing/grouping options
- fixes to record monitored sends when stopped
- selection lock icon instead of checkbox
- ripple edit, grouping ignoring options
- big drawing bug fix (oops, fades were often hidden)
- option to always render muted tracks, for a higher cpu use-faster response tradeoff
Version 0.87:
- VU meters look nicer, peak indicators show clip status until cleared
- dave hayes’s fader bitmaps
- recording preview outlines
- more precise vertical zoom (2x steps)
- master VU improvements (updated!)
