Download Openoffice.org 3.0 rc2

The developers of Openoffice.org have released the second release candidate of version 3.0. This open source office package provides a word processor, spreadsheet, presentation, drawing and database program. New in version 3.0 is, among other things, the Start Center and that the Mac OS X version no longer needs X11, but behaves like any other Aqua application. Furthermore, the package now supports version 1.2 of the Open Document Format and documents created with Microsoft Office 2007. The extensive list with changes mentions all points of 3.0 and therefore does not differ much from the list in the previous entry in the Meuktracker, so this time we only leave the announcement on the Openoffice.org blog see:
