The second release candidate of NewsBin Pro version 6.70 has been released. With this program files, such as photos, videos and programs, can be retrieved from usenet. It has everything you would expect from a usenet downloader, such as support for multithreading, ssl and autopar. Furthermore, there are extensive filter options and an optional Usenet search service can be used. In version 6.70, among other things, the download engine has been rewritten, the spam logic has been moved to a separate dll and we have said goodbye to Windows XP. Since RC1, the following changes and improvements have been made:

- Fixed “Use internal RAR timestamps” option.
- Fixed issue handling posts with missing filenames
- Fixed issue where expanded download progress bars weren’t going gray when completed as intended
- Fixed issue where posts with missing blocks were sometimes getting through as complete when they weren’t
Version 6.70 Release Candidate 2 Build 4598
- Tweaked the completion function. It was calling files with missing chunks complete pre-maturely.
Known Issues:
- Report that utf8 and unicode posts are not displaying correctly, ie Korean groups
- Report that some posting formats won’t download if newsbin can’t figure out the filename.
