Download NewsBin Pro 6.11 build 1342

Version 6.11 of NewsBin Pro has been released. This program has extensive possibilities to retrieve files from usenet. These can be downloaded in individual packets from one or more news servers and reassembled at the receiving end. Since version 6.00, the interface uses tabs and there is a cache-to-memory option that, if a machine has enough memory, regulates that the hard drive is put to work less often. Version 6.11 includes the following bug fixes:

Changes in version 6.11:

• Fixed issue in TCP interface PAUSE command.
• Fixed issue where Image DB could crash Newsbin.
• Fixed issue when filemap fails. Impacted processing large files on 32 bit systems. Now renames file on failure instead of leaving .NB2’s lying around.
• Fixed handling asian languages ​​encoded in UTF8 which is against usenet spec. Not perfect but better than before.
