Software Update: Linux Mint 17.1

Version 17.1 of Linux Mint has been released, a version with extra long support. Linux Mint is an Ubuntu-based distribution, which is available with two different desktop environments. The first uses EXTENTwhich is based on the deprecated Gnome 2 code and is intended for older hardware, the other uses Cinnamon, which is based on Gnome 3, but feels like the ‘classic’ Gnome 2 environment.
