Download 7zX 1.5.3

The compression format 7z is increasingly used for compressing files. The 7zX program, as the name suggests, is written specifically for Mac OS X and offers full support for the 7z format. Previously, the program did not have a graphical interface, but was based on drag & drop for compressing files. The developer has provided version 1.5.3 with a graphical interface and gone out with the following changes:

Version 1.5.3:

7zX 1.5.3 includes a new GUI, built with ease of use in mind.

Version 1.5.2:

This new release of 7zX fixes some problems we found with the new password detection feature: it looks like the compression core expands 0 B files and folders before prompting for a password, and this caused 7zX not to prompt the user on certain archives.

Last but not least, it also includes some interesting optimizations and a rewritten Self-Extracting Archive core.[break]
