Polish developer Flying Wild Hog and publisher Devolver Digital have delayed the release of Shadow Warrior. The game should have been released this year, but that release has been pushed back to sometime next year.

The companies have released a special, official postponement trailer for this. Characterized by its signature humorous style and an inevitable gory scene, the video briefly explains that hard work is being done to achieve the level of quality everyone wants for Lo Wang’s next adventure. The developer will probably need more time for that. An exact release date will be announced shortly.

In Shadow Warrior 3, protagonist Lo Wang embarks on an unlikely mission to capture an ancient dragon who inadvertently escaped his eternal prison at the hands of Lo Wang and his sidekick Orochi Zilla. This third title follows the 1997 original and part two from 2016.

In an earlier teaser trailer, Lo Wang already showed off a number of weapons in his arsenal for Shadow Warrior 3, such as a grappling hook, magic, a firearm and a sword. The upcoming game is a first person shooter, complemented by close-range melee combat and a freerunning system.
