Samsung would like to sell more units of its Galaxy S24 phones by not increasing the price compared to the S23 phones. As a result, deliveries should increase by 10 percent compared to the S23, a South Korean newspaper claims.

Samsung aims to ship 33 million units of its Galaxy S24 phones, Korea Economic Daily reports. That is more than the approximately 30 million units of the S23 models. In addition to not increasing prices, Samsung wants to convince potential customers with new AI functions on the phones. The cheapest S23 cost 949 euros upon release, the + version costs from 1199 euros. The Ultra had a suggested retail price of 1399 euros.

Samsung would like to present the phones in mid-January and start selling them at the end of January. There have been quite a few rumors going around in recent months about the possible specifications and features of the S24 line-up. For example, Samsung is planning to integrate its own locally running AI into its smartphones. In addition, the Galaxy S24 Ultra would have a titanium casing, just like Apple’s iPhone 15 Pro models this year. The Ultra edition would further be equipped with a 50-megapixel sensor for its 3x zoom camera.
