LG’s upcoming flagship smartphone G3 will be dust and waterproof. The device will also get a camera with a capacity of 13 megapixels, according to the rumours. There are also new indications that the resolution will indeed be 2560×1440 pixels, as previously reported.

Waterproof and dustproof smartphones are the trend. That is why LG would also have decided to add this functionality, the Korean ETNews claims based on sources within LG. The site has contacts within the Korean company, as it turned out in the past. LG is said to be in the process of setting up a verification method for the protection. The Galaxy S5 from Samsung and the Xperia Z2 from Sony, among others, are already resistant to water and dust.

In addition, PhoneArena has reported the existence of an LG device codenamed B1, which, among other things, would bear the model name LG-D851. At the same time message EVLeaks about a device with the model name D850, which in terms of designation would be in line with the D800, D820 and D830 of the G2, Nexus 5 and D830 respectively. With both the D850 and the D851, it could be the LG G3.

Information from the LG G Pro 2’s camera app would indicate that the code name B2 is associated with an on-screen resolution of 1440×2560 pixels. Last year there were already rumors that the G3 with a 5.5 “screen will have this resolution, along with the news about the presence of LG’s own Odin octacore. The B2 annex D851 would have a 13-megapixel camera. Not yet. it is clear when LG will announce the G3, but previous reports spoke of mid-May.
