Renders presumably show next version Moto X smartphone
Renders have surfaced online of a device that is believed to be the next version of Lenovo’s Moto X smartphone. The renders show a fingerprint scanner on the front and a layout of the rear camera that is reminiscent of the Moto 360 smartwatch.
The camera module, like the Moto 360, has a ‘flat tire’ element at the bottom, according to the images that HelloMotoHD put online. The images cannot be checked for authenticity, but are in line with the design that can be seen on online images of the new Moto G. In the part at the bottom there seem to be two LED flashes. At the bottom of the back is also a connection with sixteen pins, presumably for the connection with a dock or other accessory.
Lenovo appears to have exchanged the volume rocker for multiple volume buttons, which appear to be on the right side along with the suspected Power button. On the front of the white version you can see some sensors for Active Display, which Moto X smartphones have had for several years.
The Chinese manufacturer will soon hold a Moto-related event in India, but it seems to be intended for the new Moto G. The manufacturer previously announced a high-end device on June 9. In addition to two images of the suspected Moto X, there is a variant with a slightly different design and a logo of the American provider Verizon below the screen. The colorful variant is probably a new device in the Droid line.
