Render shows Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2

A render of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 has appeared. It would be the successor to last year’s Galaxy Fold. The new model appears to be slightly thinner and has a larger screen at the front.

Twitter user Ishan Agarwal has the Galaxy Z Fold2 render put online. It appears to be an official marketing image. He also shows renders of the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and the new Galaxy Buds. Renders of those products have already appeared online before.

The render has a low resolution, but the new Fold appears to be slightly thinner than the current model. The screen on the front can only be seen to a small extent, but that seems to extend to the bottom and is therefore larger than with the current Galaxy Fold. The camera island on the back is similar to the cameras of the Note 20 Ultra. The copper color is also the same.

In his initial post, Agarwal questions the authenticity of the render, but Ice Universe, another Twitter user who regularly releases news about unannounced smartphones, says the image is real. He also posts one fuzzy version of the same render on his account.

Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy Z Fold2 on August 5 at its Unpacked event. The introduction of the Note 20 Ultra and the new Galaxy Buds is also expected there. With recent tweets hint Samsung also on a new foldable device.
