Polish manufacturer releases singleboard with same form factor as Raspberry Pi 3
Polish manufacturer EVEO has created a single-board computer with the same form factor as the Raspberry Pi 3B. The big difference with that well-known minicomputer is that this Urve Board Pi has Rockchip soc and an M.2 slot, among other things.
The Urve Board from the Polish manufacturer EVEO is for sale in the company’s own online store. The Urve Board has almost exactly the same form factor as the Raspberry Pi 3B and 3B+, although there is an extra button cell battery on the board. This allows the device, among other things, to keep track of the time when it is off.
In addition, the device according to the specifications an M.2 connection for an SSD, although there is also 8GB of eMMC memory in the single-board computer. The Urve Board Pi also supports a micro SD card. The soc of the device is also different from the Broadcom BCM 2837 soc of the Raspberry Pi 3 and 3B; the Rockchip RK3566 is a quad-core soc with four Cortex A55 cores and a maximum clock speed of 1.8GHz. The device also has 2GB Lpddr4 memory, a Mali G52 GPU and maximum support for 4k screens at 60Hz.
The four USB-A ports are divided into two USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports. There is also a USB-C connection for power supply. In addition, there is an HDMI 2.0 connection and a gigabit Ethernet port on the device. There are also pins for a PoE add-on. The single-board computer also supports Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 4.2. The device runs on Android 11 or Debian 11. The price of the Urve Board Pi is unknown, but the device is in different online stores for about 84 euros.
