Oral-B has released its toothbrush ‘with artificial intelligence’ in the Benelux. The Genius X has learned from thousands of brushing styles, according to the manufacturer. The device remembers where it has been cleaned and indicates via an app which parts need attention.
According to Oral-B, the Genius X electric toothbrush knows the brushing styles of thousands of users. This ‘artificial intelligence’ would enable the device to determine the individual brushing style of the user. This information is converted in real time by the accompanying smartphone app into personalized brushing advice with instructions that should lead to a better brushing result and better oral hygiene.
Other specifications of the Genius X include six different brushing modes, a triple pressure sensor that warns the user when brushing too hard, a built-in timer to brush just long enough even without an app, and a rechargeable battery that lasts up to 14 days. The Oral-B app is available for both Android and iOS.
The Oral-B Genius X comes with a travel case that can charge both the toothbrush and another device via USB. The device is available in white, black, gray and gold colours. The Base model has a suggested retail price of 300 euros, the Luxury version changes hands for 320 euros.
