OPPO will release its foldable flip phone Find N2 Flip in Europe next year. The manufacturer announces this at its own event Inno Day. The Flip is the first flip phone from the Chinese manufacturer.

The Find N2 Flip has a 6.8″ screen with a 120Hz refresh rate on the inside. On the outside is a 17:9 3.26″ screen of 7.3×3.9cm. The screen is also in portrait to better read notifications, says the manufacturer.

The Flip runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 9000+. The phone has a 32-megapixel camera as a selfie camera in the screen and two cameras on the outside. A 50-megapixel camera, a Sony IMX890, as the primary camera. There is also an ultra-wide-angle camera. Details about the release will come out later. The Find N2 Flip is OPPO’s first foldable smartphone to be released outside of China.

OPPO also announced a successor to last year’s Find N. The Find N2 has not changed in concept from the Find N: it is a compact folding phone with an 18:9 screen on the outside and a nearly square screen on the inside. The phone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, compared to the Snapdragon 888 of the Find N. The phone also has a lighter hinge and fewer screen edges. Other changes are in the software: there is a separate menu that comes up by folding the screen and there is a kind of laptop function by folding the screen halfway. The Find N2 will only be released in China. OPPO did not provide details about prices.
