Apple may begin taking pre-orders for the Apple Watch Series 7 on October 8, according to emails from Hermès, a French fashion house that makes special Apple Watch editions in partnership with Apple.
Hermès has recently sent multiple emails to users, AppleTrack noted. In it, that company’s customer service said, “The Apple Watch Series 7 will be available for pre-order starting October 8, 2021. Let us know if you have any questions.” An anonymous source within Hermès confirms to AppleTrack that these emails are genuine, although that source did not specify the release date.
Earlier this week, FrontPageTech’s Jon Prosser reported that Apple would release the Apple Watch Series 7 in mid-October. The leaker also said that the company would start taking pre-orders in the coming week.
Apple already announced its Series 7 smartwatch in September, but has not yet announced a release date. The tech giant only stated that the smartwatch will be available ‘this fall’. Apple provides the Series 7 with a modified design with a slightly larger screen. The new wearable can also charge faster than its predecessor. The suggested retail price, starting at $399, remains unchanged from the Apple Watch Series 6.
