A government agency that allows free trade between Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan has revealed the existence of two unannounced iPads. Apple has submitted a request to import the two iPads.

The two iPads are in the database of the Eurasian Economic Commission, a committee that regulates imports from the three countries. The iPads carry type numbers A1893 and A1954. It is probably a model with 10.5″ and 12.9″ screen; last year, Apple released high-end models with those screen sizes.

There have been rumors about upcoming iPads for some time, with support for Face ID, the facial recognition that is also on the iPhone X. The listing states that the tablets run iOS 11. That indicates that the tablets appear before iOS 12, which will probably happen this fall.

French site Consomac, which discovered the listings in the database, speculates that Apple will hold an event next month to showcase the new tablets. It’s unclear if that will actually happen: the previous iPads didn’t get their own event. The iPad 2017 simply went on sale in March after an announcement on Apple’s site, and the manufacturer showcased the iPad Pro models at its WWDC developer conference.
