Google has started rolling out early Zoom support on its Nest Hub Max display. Users from some countries that are part of the Preview program can now use the video calling service through that smart screen.

Support for Zoom on Nest Hub Max is currently available in the US, Canada, Australia, and the UK, Google reports. Users in these countries can receive Zoom support by participating in Google’s Preview program. This can be set via the Google Home App. They can then enable Zoom support by linking their accounts with Google. After this, users can ask their smart screen to start a meeting. The screen will then share information about the meeting, including a link that can be shared with invitees.

In August, it was announced that Zoom will receive support for smart screens, such as the Nest Hub Max, Amazon Echo Show and Facebook Portal. However, the company did not specifically report when such support would appear at the time. Facebook previously added Zoom support to its Portal screen.

In addition, Google has announced that all users will be able to video call continuously for up to 24 hours via Meet until March 31, 2021. The company does this so that users can call all day during the holidays via its video chat platform. Google Meet also gets some new features on the Nest Hub Max, including an option to display participants of a video meeting in a 2×2 grid. These new features will first be available to paying customers with a Google Workspaces account.
