Fitbit is currently working on three fitness watches. The biggest innovation would be the so-called Fitbit Surge, which should support standard GPS and also contains a heart rate monitor. The device is said to cost $250, which is about 195 euros.

Fitbit would like to release three new fitness watches in the coming weeks, The Verge reports based on marketing materials that the news site has gotten its hands on. The Charge and Charge HR models would bring few innovations compared to previously released fitness watches. Attention is mainly focused on the Fitbit Surge, which the manufacturer also calls the Fitbit Superwatch.

The Fitbit Surge seems to be equipped with GPS support and a heart rate monitor as standard. As a result, data can be obtained about the distance covered, speed, differences in height and heart rate. The watch is therefore mainly aimed at athletes. The Fitbit Surge would keep track of the wearer’s activities throughout the day and based on this it could make statements, for example whether there is enough movement or how the person’s sleep rhythm is.

The device should be able to sync wirelessly with PCs and various smartphones. The Fitbit Surge should also be able to display notifications and a playlist. The device is said to cost about $250, which is about 195 euros.
