The LG G Watch with Android Wear will be released within three months and will cost less than 220 euros upon release. The manufacturer said this at a showcase of new products in the United Kingdom. Android Wear is Google’s Android version for smartwatches.

LG’s smartwatch should be released before July and, according to the manufacturer, it will cost ‘less than £180’ upon release, which is converted 218 euros. The release seems to coincide with I/O, Google’s developer conference, which will take place at the end of June. The manufacturer showed a non-working prototype with the final design, Pocket-Lint writes. It is visible that it is slightly larger than, for example, the Samsung Gear 2.

The G Watch is one of two smartwatches that manufacturers showcased when Google announced Android Wear. The other is the Moto 360 round screen smartwatch; the software supports both forms in the interface. Android Wear is mainly aimed at passing on notifications and using Google Now. There are no watches with Android Wear yet; the Samsung Gear 2 runs Tizen, Sony uses its own platform for its Smartwatch 2 and the Pebble and Pebble Steel also run their own software.
