Firmware update: Asus CUSL2

Asus has released a BIOS update for their CUSL2 motherboard. As you can see from the list below, there are quite a few improvements:

  • Calibrate CPU temperature reading from hardware monitor.
  • Add “Wakeup key” setup option for “Wake Up By PS2 Keyboard” setup item.
  • Fix all buttons with function failure in I-Panel after Windows Millennium resumes from S1 for a PS2 keyboard/mouse wake-up event.
  • Fix exception error occured sometimes when running Final Reality after Win98SE resumes from S3 if CPU/SDRAM frequencies are 133MHz/133MHz.
  • Fix system cannot operate CPU/SDRAM at 110MHz/110MHz if it powers on in JumperFree mode.
  • Add ‘Graphics Window Size’ setup item for AGP VGA.
  • Support Intel 1GHz CPU (CPU ID = 686).
  • Support I-Panel.
  • Support VIA® Cyrix III CPU.
  • Fix system cannot boot from a bootable 720K diskette if CPU internal frequency is greater than 667MHz.
  • Add ‘JTPWR Temperature’ setup option.
  • Add ‘AGP Capability’ setup option.
  • Change ‘VGA BIOS Sequence’ setup option to ‘Primary VGA BIOS’ setup option.
