Cherry has announced a new keyboard. The MX Board 9.0 has RGB LED lighting and can be equipped with Cherry MX Blue, Brown or Red switches. Furthermore, the keyboard has several macro keys.
The Cherry MX Board 9.0 is a full-size keyboard that features three macro keys on the left and fourteen on the top. At the top right of the keyboard is a rotary knob that can be used to adjust the brightness of the LEDs and color effects. The rotary knob can also serve as a volume control. Furthermore, the keyboard is equipped with media keys and it is possible to disable the Windows key.
The keyboard does not have the usual fold-out legs, but screws, so that they can be adjusted exactly to the user’s preference. The keyboard is not yet available in the Benelux and it is not yet known when that will be the case. The price is also not yet known. Cherry has two other keyboards in the MX Board line: the 3.0 and the 6.0. Both boards have fewer options than the 9.0 and are listed in the Pricewatch for 80 and 190 euros respectively.
