Game platform Steam briefly had a page online with new Borderlands 2 DLC. The page was quickly taken offline. Borderlands 2 expansion is expected to be released on June 9.

The DLC should be a preview for Borderlands 3 and will be called Commander Lilith & The Fight For Sanctuary. The DLC includes a higher level cap up to level 80, new bosses, new areas to explore and new loot beyond Legendary level, according to Resetera’s description on Steam.

In the story of the expansion, the Sanctuary is under siege, the Vault map is stolen, and a poisonous substance is spreading across Pandora. Players must team up with Commander Lillith and the Crimson Raiders to defeat the culprit. Furthermore, newcomers will soon be able to start their character immediately from level 30. According to SteamDB, the DLC will be released on June 9.

Earlier this year, news broke that Borderlands 3, the first six months, will not be released on Steam because Epic has an exclusive deal for half a year. Developer Gearbox has also been in a difficult period lately. The company had to deal with, among other things, a $12 million lawsuit and a Twitter discussion after a misconception about the presence of microtransactions in the game.
